Meet Fern Krasevec: your Virtual Bookkeeper

I began my journey into the world of finance when my pastor at the church I was attending approached me about managing the church's financial records. I agreed, and delved into the realm of bookkeeping. Fast forward through many courses, conversations with the accountant, and years of experience, managing the church finances is something I thoroughly enjoy to this day.

In 2013, I began working for TD Canada Trust as a banking specialist, where I gained valuable insights into personal finance. It was during this time that I discovered my deep desire to walk alongside people in their money journeys and invest in teaching others about finances. This led to a season of personal finance coaching, which I loved.

Nearly ten years ago, I transitioned away from the bank to become the Office Manager at Ontario Coatings. As it was a small business and I was the only office personnel, I provided comprehensive administrative support for businesses, wearing many hats in that position. This role allowed me to grow in confidence and experience in various areas. My biggest responsibility was full-cycle bookkeeping, and this aspect of the job made me come alive. I have an eye for detail and perhaps a compulsion for accuracy (hello, perfectionist!), and seeing the big picture of expenses and receivables along with precise reports at year-end brought me great satisfaction.

While I loved my job, the pandemic hit, and I knew it was time for a change. Enter the next step in my journey: remote bookkeeping! I have been able to take what I have learned and the experience I have gained to assist business owners and entrepreneurs in managing their finances effectively, and this journey has been incredible rewarding! 

Here Virtually continues to grow and expand, and is on a journey to helping more small businesses across Ontario.
